Where History Meets Art

Where History Meets Art

Hotel Continental has been linked to the arts and cultural life in Oslo since actors and artists made Theatercaféen their regular meeting place in the early 1900s. "Take care of the artists," was founder Caroline Boman Hansen's comment at the time. The interest and love of art has been passed down through generations and is reflected throughout the property.

The Yamaha grand piano is a work of art in itself. There are only two of its kind in Scandinavia. The other is owned by Benny Anderson of the former pop group ABBA. Behind the piano is a photo by Eivind Lentz. The beautiful collection of photographs in the master bedroom is collected from Featuring Spaces in Oslo. All art and decorations are handpicked by owner Elisabeth C. Brochmann.
