General questions

Where is Hotel Continental located? Hotel Continental is centrally located in Oslo (Stortingsgata 24/26, 0117 Oslo), just a few minutes' walk from the main attractions, shopping and public transport.

What are the check-in and check-out times? Standard check-in from 15:00, check-out by 12:00. If you are arriving earlier or later, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to facilitate a smooth check-in or check-out.

Do you offer parking, and is there a charge? We have 10 parking spaces in the CareCenter garage in the basement. CareCenter offers interior and exterior wash and polish, and is happy to prepare the car for you during your stay. Please note that both parking and car care must be booked at least 24 hours in advance, and there is limited capacity. Book well in advance - the offer is popular among our hotel guests. Is the hotel adapted for guests with disabilities? Yes, we have accessible rooms and facilities for guests with reduced mobility. Please contact us before your stay at +47 22 82 40 40 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Does the hotel have free Wi-Fi? Yes, all guests have access to free high-speed Wi-Fi.

Rooms and facilities

What room types do you offer? Hotel Continental offers the following rooms and suites:

  • The Continental Suite - luxurious top suite with delicate design and exclusive art.

  • The Abel Suite - combines classic and modern design, with a view of Aker Brygge.

  • The Royal Suite - elegant suite with a view of Slottsparken.

  • The Boman Suite - modern and stylish corner suite.

  • Junior Suites - elegant and comfortable suites.

  • Junior Suites with Balcony - extra space with a private balcony facing the National Theater.

  • Deluxe room - comfort and luxury.

  • Superior room - high standard and style.

  • Standard Double - Cozy for two.

  • Petite Double - compact, elegant and comfortable.

  • Standard Single - perfect for one guest.

Are the rooms equipped with air conditioning? Yes, all rooms are air-conditioned for a comfortable experience. The temperature can be controlled individually in each room, with an adjustment possibility of +/- 3 degrees.

Can beds in some rooms be converted into two single beds? Yes, some rooms can be customized with either a king-size bed or two single beds. Please specify your preferred layout when booking and we'll make sure the room is ready according to your wishes.

Does the hotel have family rooms? Unfortunately, the hotel does not have any family rooms, but we do have a limited number of "connecting" Deluxe rooms (rooms with a door between them) that can accommodate a family of up to 5 people. Does the hotel offer a cot/crib? Yes, we offer baby beds on request. Please contact us before your stay at +47 22 82 40 40 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Does the hotel have a fitness room? Yes, our Fitness Studio is equipped with TechnoGym machines and is open 24 hours for all resident guests.

Do you offer room service and when is it available? Yes, room service is available 24 hours a day. The menus apply:

  • Breakfast: Weekdays 06:45-10:00, Weekends/holidays 07:15-11:00

  • Daily menu: Mon-Sat 12:00-22:00, Sun/holidays 12:00-21:00

  • Dinner: Mon-Sat 16:00-22:00, Sun/holidays 16:00-21:00

  • Night Food: Weekdays 22:00-06:00, Weekends/holidays 22:00-07:00

    There is a delivery fee of NOK 50.

Reservations and payment

Can I make separate reservations under the same name for multiple rooms? Yes, you can place separate orders under the same name. Please contact us at +47 22 82 40 40 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Can I cancel a reservation? To see if your reservation can be changed or canceled, please check the reservation confirmation you have received by email, or contact the hotel at +47 22 82 40 00 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Can I change my reservation? To change your reservation, please contact us at +47 22 82 40 40 or booking@hotelcontinental.no.

Do you offer corporate pricing or group discounts? Yes, please contact our sales team for special prices for groups or companies. Contact details for our sales and marketing team can be found here.

Food and drink

Is breakfast included in the stay? Yes, breakfast is included at Hotel Continental. You can order from our tempting à la carte breakfast menu or choose from our breakfast buffet.

Does the hotel have a restaurant or bar? Yes, Hotel Continental offers several food and beverage experiences:

  • Theatercaféen - an iconic restaurant and meeting place with a classic atmosphere. Book a table at Theatercafeen their websites.

  • Bar Boman - An elegant hotel bar with an international touch. Drop-in only, no table reservations.

Can you adapt menus for allergies or special diets? Yes, we customize meals for allergies and dietary needs by pre-ordering.

Events and meetings

Location and transportation

How do I get to Oslo Airport? Oslo Airport (OSL) is located at Gardermoen about 50 km north of Oslo and there are several options to get there from the city center and Hotel Continental:

  • Flytoget: To Oslo S and Nationaltheatret (100 m from the hotel).

  • Taxi: Approx. 50 minutes, from NOK 800.

  • Private transportation: Oslo Limousine Service can be arranged via concierge@hotelcontinental.no.

How close is the hotel to public transport and attractions? The hotel is centrally located in Oslo by the National Theatre, close to trams, buses, trains and attractions such as the Royal Palace, Aker Brygge and Karl Johans gate.

What should I see in Oslo?
