Welcome to BAR BOMAN, our modern and sophisticated lobby bar. Here you can sit back in a relaxed atmosphere, do some work, have a casual coffee with friends, or start the evening with an afterwork before the theater, movies at the cinema or a dinner out.
The name comes from Caroline Boman, who, together with her husband Christian Hansen, was the first generation of owners of Hotel Continental and Theatercaféen. In BAR BOMAN, modern art meets Norwegian classics. Here you'll find one of Norway's largest private collections of works by Edvard Munch.
In the summer we move the atmosphere outside, enjoy a glass or two outside in the heart of the city.

Did you know that BAR BOMAN houses one of Norway's largest private collections from Edvard Munch?
In 1932, Arne Boman Hansen came across 12 prints by Edvard Munch by chance at an art dealer in Oslo. He offered to buy them all and got a good price. For NOK 5,500, he became the owner of the twelve prints, which today are one of the hotel's greatest cultural heritage treasures.
